BRUSH IN A RUSH - Saturday 6th September 2008

Penny Morgan and Kym Woodward will be teaching the Brush in a Rush  this Saturday.  Penny’s teaching a CD holder with a bee painted on the front and Kym ’s project is a snow globe wind chime  with a Christmas theme.  Penny’s requirements  are:

Masking Tape, Medium Sea Sponge or equivalent, Graphite Paper, Disposable Palette,  #2  Liner, 1/4″ Deer Foot, 4 Round, 3/8 Angle Shader, Water Container, Table Cover and Paper Towels.”
Kym’s requirements are:

Basecoat brush, #3 or 4 Round, #1 Round, 1/4  and 1/2 Dagger or Angle Shader, 1/4 and 1/2 Deerfoot brush, Liner brush, Old Brush for Opal Dust, Palette Knife, Scissors, normal painting requirements eg. Pallette, paper towels, water jar,  Graphite paper (dark), hair dryer (a must), toothbrush,   your favourite brushes and old scruffy hogs hair bristle brushes (2 at the most - about pencil size)

BRUSH IN A RUSH -  Saturday 5th July 2008

Gail Barbeler will be teaching a project African Sunset on the cover of a notebook/journal and Faye Goddard will be showing us how to paint these beautiful bookmarks. Please bring your normal painting supplies including an assortment of various brushes and sizes, water jar, tracing paper, paper towel, graphite, cotton buds, palette or palette paper, chalk pencil, pen/pencil and a towel to place under your piece. These are fantastic projects so don’t miss out.  Contact Judi Beggs as places are limited.

Bookmarks  African Sunset

BRUSH IN A RUSH - Saturday 3rd May 2008

Judy Minter and Donna May shared their teaching skills with us this month. Donna’s project was an African dancer painted on a canvas bag. Judy had a lovely project painted on a wooden clipboard of small birds perched on a plant stem and  done in the style of “petticoat painting”.  The specific requirements for Donna’s workshop are Filbert no. 4, Round no. 3, favourite liner, stylus, black graphite paper, black laundry marker, white or silver gel pen, hard cardboard at least 35 x 35cm, 6 pins, water container, paper towel. Plus your normal painting supplies.
